We were approached by T Soanes farm in Driffield to recommend the best option for resurfacing their yard to park their heavy tractors and machinery, this needed to be a hardwearing and resilient concrete solution. Our experts liaised with the client to understand their specific requirements to advise on the best solution.

Considering our customers’ needs we wanted to offer a cost-effective but suitable concrete option which Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) deemed most appropriate. Most recently, this solution has become very popular in the agricultural industry as it the most efficient and reliable concrete option. Our concrete and transport divisions worked together to keep a steady flow of 525 tonnes of RCC mix coming into site to help finish the task before it was too dark.

The main challenge of this project was to ensure it was completed in one day to avoid the heavy rain and snow due that night. The total area covered was 1,453m2 with the end use providing a secure wagon access to a new workshop and storage yard, which we efficiently completed causing no hold ups or delays in the clients’ daily activity.
