Scheduled Listed Building & Conuntry Park Refurbishment, Contract period 20 weeks. Works included the refurbishment of Hessle Whiting Mill on the Humber Foreshore - a brick built six story Windmill of the industrial heritage importance which once ground chalk to make Whiting for various industrial purpose and is now a Listed Building and Scheduled Ancient Monument.
The refurbishment works included the replacement of windows and doors, the repair of major beams and repairs/ replacement of joists and doors with new staircases to the fourth and fifth floor. A fully designed temporary works scaffolding was installed, within the Mill to support the structure throughout the various phases of the structural repairs. Further refurbishment works internally included the preparation and recoating of the Mill workings, all under the watchful eye of Historic England.
Externally the works included constructing a new plaza on the foreshore was paving, planting, furniture, and lighting to provide a setting for the Mill..
