Our waste management team have secured a contract with Energy Works in Hull where we manage the day-to-day waste produced in the facility and provide a fully integrated waste management solution. 

Energy Works Hull is 1 of 5 plants operated by Evero Energy where they use a combination of innovative renewable energy technologies to achieve a highly efficient mix of recycling and energy conversion processes. The plant processes around 240,000 tonnes of commercial waste per year with enough electricity to power 47,000 homes.

The facility currently uses RDF feed stock from our Newton Aycliffe depot and we are pleased to see Energy Works have recently broken the record for the most MWh (megawatt hour) exported in any campaign which was 7,200 MWh. 

We currently have a range of 8-yard skips, 4-yard skips and 18 of our Roll On Roll Off skips on site, which contain all the waste and bi-products produced by the facility. These are removed daily by our team so we can recycle the waste in order to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
