As we continue to invest in more sustainable solutions, we have welcomed the first of four brand new fully electric Volvo FH tractor units into our fleet.

With a range up to 300KM, these trucks are set to be integrated into our aggregates team, transporting material across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The move comes after the successful integration of two fully electric skip loaders. The skip loaders are now in use each day of the week, working in and around Hull. 

With a charging time of approximately 2 hours on a DC charger or 9 hours on AC, these trucks are capable of performing regular tasks asked of our diesel powered trucks with ease. Because the truck is fully electric, the drive is more comfortable with less vibration and noise. 

We're happy to have the first of these four vehicles in our fleet greatly reducing our CO2 levels, emissions and noise. We can't wait to see how they perform.
