A delightful moment for our team as we joined the NHS in witnessing Trust Chief Executive, Chris Long laying the foundation stone for the £40m Day Surgery Centre at Castle Hill Hospital, recently completed by our team.

Phase one of the unit saw four brand new operating theatres open while phases 2 and 3, which have also been awarded to Ashcourt Construction, will add another six theatres on site over the next 14 months. The plans will extend the current 6,000m2 build on the North with a new 2,500m2 main entrance and the South with further 3,000m2 treatment and recovery rooms.

Once finished the building will provide over 11,000m2 of new hospital treatment facilities including 10 cutting edge theatre rooms and it will see waiting times for surgery significantly reduced and improve the care provided to thousands of patients in the region.
